Boho styled horse elopement | Mt. Charleston

As you know, from years of getting photos done of you and your family, finding the perfect location for photos is hard work. You want to find something accessible but different than last year and all your friend's photos. You want unique and beautiful!

Now, imagine we throw in a huge truck, trailer and 1,000 pound animal into the mix. Yeah, that just made location scouting 10 times harder. But the challenge was accepted and conquered! Thankfully this wonderful couple was up for anything and are ninjas towing their beautiful horse around Las Vegas. We ended up in Mt. Charleston, just outside of the city. This location could not have been any more perfect!

This little desert canyon, with its creamy, stone colored walls, was the perfect backdrop for this wedding shoot. The pops of blue and gold details throughout were a wonderful addition to the desert landscape. This was the perfect picnic: cheeses, fruits, cookies and a cake topped with berries. But the icing on the cake was riding off into the sunset, atop a gorgeous mare. Can you think of a better way to celebrate love?

Carrie is such a stunning bride. Her dress, a Nha Khanh, from Rent the Runway. Hair and make-up was done by the ever so talented, Natalia with Natalia Kas Event Make-up and Hair. Natalia also made her simple, yet stunning floral crown.

The cake, concept and styling was done by the fabulous Kali, with A Pretty Styled Life. She has an eye for design and a love for weddings and all things pretty! 

The intense desert, Las Vegas sun: it's bold and in your face and I'm falling so in love with it. I love the mountains, the desert greenery and the barren landscape. Being a Las Vegas wedding and elopement photographer has its challenges, but finding beauty in my desert surroundings has been a breeze.

I'm so excited to announce this shoot was featured on Story Board Wedding, a wedding blog filled with inspiration of all types and works by talented photographers and vendors from all over the world. Getting featured on a well known wedding blog is a dream come true!

You have encouraged me and shaped me into the artist I am today. You have taught me so much about business and have opened my eyes to a new way of seeing.
