Ida & Jimmy | 7-year anniversary desert elopement | Mt. Charleston, Las Vegas

Ida & Jimmy came all the way from Finland to elope in Las Vegas on their 7th anniversary of being a couple. Vegas wasn't even on their radar until they started Google-ing options and found some photos. Soon enough, they were booking vendors, buying plane tickets and wedding attire for their elopement in the desert amongst the Joshua Trees with stunning mountain views.

The ceremony was performed by Cheryl. It was short and sweet, with personal vows that we couldn't understand, which I loved. It gave these two the privacy to express their feelings without needing to impress or worry what anyone would say or thing! I love witnessing love through their eyes. You really don't need to understand the words to feel love. The way Jimmy looked at Ida and vise-versa was so sweet to witness! They are truly meant to be and perfect for each other!

After the ceremony, we ran around the desert and I photographed this lovely couple, we chatted, we laughed and we attempted not to get stabbed by cacti (I always fail at this one). We found some awesome views of the mountains and just as we were getting set up, the sun peeked through and illuminated the mountains. It was perfect!

They kept the marriage a secret from their friends and family. Ida & Jimmy surprised them after they were wed and had these gorgeous images of their sweet elopement to prove it was true! Like they say, 'photos or it didn't happen'. :)  

A secret, desert elopement is so special to me since that's how my husband and I chose to get married almost 2 years ago, in secret! There's just something so special about only sharing your love and devotion with that person and that person only. No other distractions or stressors, just love!

Her bouquet and floral ring were created by my talented friend Sara, with Cultivate Goods. She is one of my favorite florists in all of Las Vegas, and I love when we get to work together!! Every bouquet she creates for her brides is perfection. And she knows how to create something unique, colorful and fun each and every time! Thank you so much, Ida & Jimmy, for allowing me to witness and capture your beautiful desert, elopement here in Las Vegas. It was an honor to witness your love and devotion to each other! And thank you so very much for the sweet gift, the book is amazing and the bag is so cute! 

Thankfully we didn't freeze! Who knew Vegas could be so chilly?
