Neon Museum Las Vegas Wedding Venue

The Neon Museum in Las Vegas is one of the most unique wedding venues in the world. The colorful, vintage signs create a unique backdrop for ceremonies and receptions. You and your guests will feel as though you've traveled back to Elvis' time for the evening. To complete the Elvis vibes, be sure to hire Elvis to drive you around in his Pink Cadillac. It's an experience you won't forget!

Super 8 video captured on film by Kristen Kay Photography

Getting ready on the Strip - a room with a view is a must for getting ready in Las Vegas. retro-inspired hair and make-up for an intimate wedding at the Neon Museum in Las Vegas - Kristen Kay Photography - Photo and Super 8 Video

WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND WE STAY IN LAS VEGAS?

The most popular place for you to stay is The Strip. Most of my wedding couples choose the: Wynn, Cosmopolitan, Aria, or Bellagio. There is also a new hotel, Resorts World, that looks incredible. The Strip hotel rooms, when choosing a larger suite or higher floor, allow for incredible views of the surrounding city and mountains.

Or maybe you want to stay close to the Neon Museum at one of the vintage hotels with rad vibes and fun colors in Downtown Las Vegas. The Downtowner has a really retro vibe. There is also the El Cortez and The Golden Nugget.

Off the Strip, Red Rock Hotel and Casino is a great option for the entire family. Red Rock Hotel and Casino is close to beautiful Red Rock Canyon State Park. The Casino has many great restaurant options and is located at one end of Downtown Summerlin, an outdoor shopping area with restaurants, stores, and fun things for the whole family to enjoy.

There are also a few Airbnb's in Las Vegas too. Be sure to check out the Henderson area for even more options.

The Neon Museum plays well with vintage-inspired details and attire. A vintage hairstyle with large curls or waves is the perfect way to add a little vintage fair to your bridal look.

This incredible bridal jumpsuit with a long detachable skirt was designed by Alexia Maria. It was perfect for the Las Vegas heat. So elegant and when the skirt was easily slipped off and detached, Vanessa could freely dance the night away in the short, simple romper with a large modern bow on the back.

Oh.. and did I mention - the skirt had pockets and the jumper did too! I wish I knew this rad combo existed when I got married, it's perfect.

Giving each other a gift with a sweet note to open while getting ready is a great way to start your wedding day. If you'll be eloping, just the two of you, you might want to have your parents or grandparents or friends write you a card or two to open together. It makes for great photos and is a sweet memory to hold on to for years.

SHOULD WE DO A FIRST LOOK?

A first look is a great option for many couples. It gives you a moment all to yourselves, to see one another before you walk down the aisle. To embrace and be excited about all that is to come. If you choose to do a first look a couple of hours before your ceremony, you will have plenty of time for couple's portraits before your wedding or you can do some family portraits before the ceremony. A first look is a great way to avoid keeping your guests waiting for too long.

Waiting until the ceremony to see each other isn't a bad thing and it works for some couples. It makes the walk down the aisle more emotional and exciting. However, if you wait until the ceremony to see each other, all of the family photos and couple portraits will have to take place after your ceremony. If you have a large family and lots of groupings, you might keep your guests waiting for an hour or two.

I'm happy to help you decide which is best for you if you're not sure. We will work through your timeline together. Timeline assistance and planning are included in each photography package. This will ensure we have enough time for photos at each location.

If you're interested in having your wedding here at The Neon Museum, I'm happy to put you in touch with them directly and help with securing your date and time.

Fill out an inquiry form or send an email to: hello@kristenkayphotography.com.

GRAND EXITS:

PROS.

Amazing photo opportunity

Fun for your guests

A great way to kindly end the reception

An escape

You can also do a send-off earlier in the night for a photo opportunity

A reason to have a really awesome get-away car (like Elvis' pink Cadillac)

CONS.

Organizing everyone can be a hassle

If you wait until too late in the night you might have fewer guests for the send-off

If you decide to do it early for photos, your guests might leave even if you don't want them to.
